As many Alaskans know there are several things Alaska is renowned for that we celebrate with pride about whenever we head out of state. On the flip side of that though there are several things we hear about our great state that often leaves us scratching our heads and going with the joke. One particular misnomer though that has circled the globe about Alaska is how we don’t get any sunlight and farming can’t be done up here. This particular “knowledge” is hurting us as we look to grow our agriculture sector and obtain grants or other funding. So, to correct this issue here are a few facts about farming in Alaska:
