The Division of Agriculture is currently accepting applications for their Microgrants for Food Security Program. The applications are being accepted from now until March 30th 2022 at 5:00 AKST. These microgrants are a great opportunity for individuals as well as organizations for increasing food security in Alaska. On the Division of Agriculture’s site you can find several ideas on what type of project to base your proposal on. From gardening equipment, farm equipment, composting equipment, fencing for livestock, hydroponics systems, grow towers, land expansion, extending the growing season, education, expanding avenues, slaughterhouse/processing equipment, or subsistence supplies, the scope of project is broad depending on your needs.
